ACL Race main bearings are a trimetal design developed for higher engine RPM conditions. The combination of construction, metallurgy and engineering supports consistent bearing performance.

This set is intended for Subaru engines and features 0.025 mm (0.001″) extra clearance, together with construction focused on improved retention in the housing and stable oil film formation.

• High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
• Increased crush for improved bearing retention in the housing
• Elimination of flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and increased grip in the housing
• Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and assist hydrodynamic oil film formation
• 3/4-grooved main bearings to optimize bearing load-carrying surface area and oil flow to the conrod bearings
• Tight, consistent wall tolerances and enlarged ID chamfers for large fillet radii on performance crankshafts

Sizes

STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
