ACL Race main bearings are designed for high-performance engines operating at higher RPM conditions. Their trimetal construction combines a high-strength overlay plate, increased crush and increased eccentricity for improved retention and the formation of hydrodynamic oil films.
The set is designed to optimize bearing load-carrying surface area and oil flow to the conrod bearings. Tight, consistent wall tolerances help maintain consistent clearances, while enlarged ID chamfers accommodate performance crankshafts with a large fillet radius.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention in the housing
- Elimination of flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and grip in the housing
- 3/4 grooved main bearings to optimize load-carrying surface area and oil flow
- Enlarged ID chamfers to accommodate a large fillet radius on performance crankshafts

Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
