ACL Race rod bearings for BMW N52

ACL Race Series rod bearings are designed for high-performance engines operating at higher RPM conditions. Their tri-metal construction combines high strength, bearing lining support and tight wall tolerances.

This conrod bearing set features details that improve bearing retention in the housing, heat transfer and the formation of hydrodynamic oil films.

• Tri-metal construction: high-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties.
• Hardened steel backs: improve support of the bearing lining and assist with bearing retention in the housing.
• Increased crush: for improved bearing retention.
• No flash plating on the back: improves heat transfer and maximizes grip between the bearings and their housing.
• Increased eccentricity: compensates for bore distortion at high RPM and assists in forming hydrodynamic oil films.
• Tight wall tolerances: help maintain consistent clearances.

Sizes

STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
