ACL Race rod bearings are trimetal engine bearings designed for demanding operating conditions and higher engine speeds. The set includes rod bearings.
The construction combines a high-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness, hardened steel backs and tightly controlled wall tolerances for consistent clearances.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
- Hardened steel backs for improved support of the bearing lining and bearing retention in the housing
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention in the housing
- Elimination of flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and increased grip in the housing
- Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion and assist in forming hydrodynamic oil films
Suitable for: Ford Ranger III (2AB), Mazda BT 50 I (CD/UN).
Engines: Duratorq 3.2, P5-AT (P5-AT). Please check your vehicle’s engine code (registration document or VIN) before ordering; if in doubt, contact us and we will check for you.
Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
