ACL Race Series tri-metal rod bearings are designed for higher RPM conditions and demanding engine operation. Their combination of construction, metallurgy and engineering supports reliable bearing lining support.
This rod bearing set features 0.025 mm extra clearance. The construction helps maintain consistent clearances, improves bearing retention in the housing and assists in forming hydrodynamic oil films.
- Tri-metal construction with a high-strength overlay plate of reduced thickness.
- Hardened steel backs on all rod bearings to support the bearing lining and assist with retention in the housing.
- Increased crush for improved rod bearing retention.
- Flash plating removed from the back for improved heat transfer and increased grip in the housing.
- Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM.
- Tight, consistent wall tolerances to help maintain consistent clearances.

Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
