ACL Race rod bearings are trimetal engine bearings for high-performance applications, designed to withstand higher RPM conditions. Their combination of design, metallurgy and engineering provides consistent support for highly loaded rod bearings.
The construction is designed to improve bearing retention in the housing, heat transfer and the formation of a hydrodynamic oil film. The set is intended for use with performance crankshafts.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties.
- Hardened steel backs on all rod bearings to improve support of the bearing lining and bearing retention in the housing.
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention.
- Elimination of flash plating on the back of the bearings to improve heat transfer and maximize grip in the housing.
- Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and assist in forming hydrodynamic oil films.
- Tight, consistent wall tolerances to help maintain consistent clearances.
Suitable for: Honda Accord IX (CP2) / VII (CM) / VIII (CU) / X (CR2), Honda Legend IV (KB1/KB2), Honda Odyssey II (RA6/RA7/RL1) / III (RB1) / III (RB3/RB4), Honda Ridgeline I (YK), Honda Shuttle II (RA).
Engines: J35A, J35Z, J32A (J35Z2, J35A7, J35A8, J35A4, J32A1, J35A1, J35A5, J35A6, J35Z8, J35A9, J35Z4, J35Z5). Please check your vehicle’s engine code (registration document or VIN) before ordering; if in doubt, contact us and we will check for you.
Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
