ACL Race rod bearings for Mini W10

ACL Race rod bearings are trimetal engine bearings designed for operation at higher RPM. Their combination of design, metallurgy and engineering supports reliable rod bearing performance.

The set includes ACL Race Series rod bearings. The construction is designed to improve bearing retention in the housing, heat transfer and the formation of hydrodynamic oil films.

• High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
• Hardened steel backs for improved support of the bearing lining and bearing retention in the housing
• Increased crush for improved bearing retention
• Elimination of flash plating on the back to improve heat transfer and maximize grip in the housing
• Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at higher RPM and assist in forming hydrodynamic oil films
• Tight, consistent wall tolerances to help maintain consistent clearances

Sizes

STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
