ACL Race Series tri-metal rod bearings are designed for operation at higher RPM and demanding conditions. The combination of design, metallurgy and engineering improves bearing lining support and retention in the housing.
The set includes ACL Race Series rod bearings with features intended to support consistent clearances, improved heat transfer and the formation of hydrodynamic oil films.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
- Hardened steel backs for improved support of the bearing lining
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention in the housing
- Elimination of flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and grip in the housing
- Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM

Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
