ACL Race rod bearings are trimetal engine bearings designed for high-performance applications operating at higher RPM. The high-strength overlay plate has reduced thickness to improve fatigue properties.
Hardened steel backs support the bearing lining and assist with bearing retention in the housing. Increased eccentricity helps compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and supports the formation of hydrodynamic oil films.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness
- Hardened steel backs on all rod bearings
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention
- Flash plating eliminated from the back for improved heat transfer
- Tight, consistent wall tolerances for consistent clearances

Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
