ACL Race Series are trimetal rod bearings for high-performance engines, designed to withstand higher RPM conditions. Their combination of design, metallurgy and engineering improves resistance to bearing fatigue.
Hardened steel backs support the bearing lining and assist with bearing retention in the housing. Increased eccentricity helps compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and assists in forming hydrodynamic oil films.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
- Hardened steel backs on all rod bearings
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention in the housing
- Elimination of flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and increased grip in the housing
- Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM
- Tight, consistent wall tolerances to help maintain consistent clearances
Suitable for: Subaru Brz I (ZC), Subaru Forester IV (SJ), Subaru Impreza IV (GJ), Subaru Legacy V (BM/BR) / VI (BN9) / VII (BW), Subaru Levorg I (V1) / II (STI/VN5), Subaru Outback II (BS9) / VI (BT), Subaru Wrx I (GJ/V1) / I (STI/VAB/VAF/VAG) / II (VB), Toyota GT 86 I (ZN6).
Engines: FA20, FA24, 4U-GSE (FA24F, FA20D, FA20C, FA20, FA20F, FA20E, 4U-GSE). Please check your vehicle’s engine code (registration document or VIN) before ordering; if in doubt, contact us and we will check for you.
Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
