ACL Race Series trimetal rod bearings are designed for operation at higher RPM. Their construction combines a high-strength overlay plate, hardened steel backs and increased crush for improved bearing retention in the housing.
Increased eccentricity helps compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and assists in forming a hydrodynamic oil film. Eliminating flash plating on the back improves heat transfer through the bearing and maximizes grip between the bearing and its housing.

Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
