ACL Race rod bearings are tri-metal bearings for high-performance engines, designed to withstand higher RPM conditions. This set is intended for crankshafts with larger fillet radii.
The construction improves bearing retention in the housing, heat transfer and formation of hydrodynamic oil films. Tight, consistent wall tolerances help maintain consistent clearances.
- Tri-metal construction with a high-strength overlay plate of reduced thickness
- Hardened steel backs for improved support of the bearing lining
- Increased crush and eccentricity for improved retention and compensation for bore distortion at high RPM
- Flash plating eliminated on the back to improve heat transfer and grip in the housing
- Enlarged internal edge chamfers to accommodate large fillet radii on performance crankshafts
Suitable for: Vauxhall Monaro I (V2X), Vauxhall VXR8 I (VXR8).
Engines: LS1, LS2, LS3. Please check your vehicle’s engine code (registration document or VIN) before ordering; if in doubt, contact us and we will check for you.
Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
