Bull-X downpipe for VAG 1.2 TSI EA211 engines (Euro 6), CJZC/CJZD
Optimised exhaust gas flow and noticeably improved performance. The Bull-X downpipe for VAG 1.2 TSI engines completely replaces the standard component and offers a direct Plug & Play fit. Its flow-optimised design provides a noticeable performance improvement. Optimising the pipe diameter, pipe routing and catalytic converter reduces the load on the turbocharger. The reduced exhaust back pressure improves response, increases torque and enables more efficient power delivery, while also reducing thermal load.
Performance benefits
- Noticeably earlier turbocharger response
- Reduced exhaust back pressure
- Reduced thermal load on the turbocharger
- Increased power and torque
- Improved durability of the complete system
- Optimised exhaust gas evacuation without turbulence
Product benefits
- Plug & Play solution – simple replacement for the standard component
- Perfect fitment
- High-quality materials
- Made in Germany from in-house production
- Developed for optimised flow
- Computer-designed and tested on a test bench
- No disruptive edges or reductions in diameter
Technical details
- Pipe diameter: 76 mm
- Material: stainless steel
- Available as: version with sports catalytic converter (ECE) or non-approved racing version
- Direct fit to the standard exhaust system, including fitting hardware
Road use: Only the version with an HJS ECE catalytic converter has EG/ECE approval and is permitted for use on public roads without further registration. The version without an ECE catalytic converter or with a racing catalytic converter is intended exclusively for motorsport and track use. The original OPF or catalytic converter downstream of the downpipe must be retained.
Catalytic converter information
When selecting a downpipe without a catalytic converter or with a 100-cell/200-cell catalytic converter, the post-catalytic-converter lambda sensor may trigger a fault message in the engine control unit. This does not affect driving operation, as the first lambda sensor required for engine control remains fitted. The post-catalytic-converter sensor is used only to monitor catalytic-converter efficiency. The fault can be removed by adapting the software through a professional engine calibration specialist.
Most vehicles up to Euro 3 emissions standard do not have a post-catalytic-converter lambda sensor, so installation is possible without further calibration or fault messages. HJS ECE and EOBD catalytic converters have a significantly higher washcoat content and very high oxygen-storage capacity, which can prevent fault messages. EOBD catalytic converters have been tested for this issue up to Euro 4 emissions standard, while their durability and use are suitable up to Euro 6. On Euro 5/6 vehicles, the points mentioned above can only be avoided by selecting an ECE-approved catalytic converter.
Suitable for: SEAT Ibiza IV (6J/6P) / IV (6J1/6P5) / IV (6J5), Škoda Fabia III (NJ3) / III (NJ5), Škoda Rapid I (NH1) / I (NH3), VW Polo V (6C) / V (6R).
