Would you like to achieve more power from your turbocharged engine while also reducing the load on the turbocharger and surrounding components? This Bull-X product is an excellent place to start. The downpipe has a major influence on response and power, and forms the connection between the exhaust side of the turbocharger and the exhaust system.

The larger pipe diameter allows the turbocharger to discharge the processed exhaust gases more easily through the exhaust system. This has a positive effect on torque and power.

Road use: This downpipe is not approved for use on public roads and is intended for racing use only. For legal road use, only the version with an EG-approved HJS catalytic converter is suitable; all other catalytic-converter versions and decat pipes are intended exclusively for racing use.

Catalytic converter information

When selecting a downpipe without a catalytic converter or with a 100-cell or 200-cell catalytic converter, the engine control unit may register a fault from the post-catalytic lambda sensor. This does not affect driving performance, as the first lambda sensor remains fitted and is used for engine management. The post-catalytic sensor is responsible only for monitoring catalytic-converter efficiency. The fault can be removed by software calibration carried out by a specialist engine software tuner.

Most vehicles with an emissions standard up to Euro 3 do not have a post-catalytic lambda sensor, so installation is possible without further adaptation or a warning message. HJS ECE and EOBD catalytic converters have a significantly higher washcoat content and very high oxygen-storage capacity, which can prevent fault messages. EOBD catalytic converters have been tested for this purpose up to Euro 4, while their durability and use are also suitable up to the Euro 6 emissions standard. On Euro 5/6 vehicles, the above issues can only be avoided by selecting a catalytic converter with ECE approval.

Suitable for: BMW 4 I (F32/F33/F36/F82/F83), BMW M3 VI (F30/F31/F34/F80).
