This Bull-X valved exhaust system for the VW Up GTI is hand-built and uses absorption silencers without chambers. The pipe diameter is 2 inches (51 mm).

Bull-X Tronic control unit operation
If the vehicle has drive profile selection, the exhaust valve can be controlled through this function. Vehicles without drive profile selection can be controlled using the supplied button. The button’s LED indicates the valve status: the light is off when the valve is open and on when it is closed.
The control unit automatically closes the valve in all areas required by the ECE regulations, regardless of the selected driving mode.
- Sport (Dynamic, Race): within the approved ECE operating range, the valve remains open. When stationary and at speeds between 20 and 80 km/h, the valve remains closed.
- Comfort: the valve remains closed, but opens during driving within the approved ECE operating range when the throttle is at least 75% open.
Version without ECE approval
When controlled via a switch, remote control or the Bull-X Tronic »Race« Can-Bus control unit, the product is intended exclusively for motorsport use. If the vehicle has drive profile selection, it can also be controlled through this function. Vehicles without this function use the supplied button.
Road use: ECE approval applies only when selecting the Bull-X Tronic control unit with ECE approval and using an EG catalytic converter. Other control options and/or catalytic converters are intended exclusively for track use.

Only the version marked “road legal” has a European ECE / EC approval (Bull-X Tronic controller with ECE or the HJS EC catalytic converter).
