Bull-X 3″ downpipe for Ford Fiesta ST180/ST200 Mk.7 (JA8), with ECE option

BULL-X Exhausts produces downpipes to the highest standard. This stainless steel downpipe is designed for the Ford Fiesta JA8 ST and is suitable for both standard and performance-tuned vehicles.

Fitting this downpipe can provide increased performance, sharper throttle response and lower exhaust gas temperatures. Depending on the selected version, an adjustment to the engine electronics may be required.

Road use: Only the version with the 200-cell HJS sports catalytic converter with ECE approval is homologated for use on public roads. Versions without a catalytic converter or with other catalytic converters are intended exclusively for track use.

Catalytic converter information

When selecting a downpipe without a catalytic converter or with a 100/200-cell catalytic converter, the ECU may display a fault from the post-catalytic-converter lambda sensor. This does not affect driving operation, as the first lambda sensor remains in place and controls the engine. The post-catalytic-converter sensor is only used to monitor catalytic converter efficiency. The fault can be removed with a software adjustment by a tuning specialist.

On most vehicles up to Euro 3 emissions standard, no post-catalytic-converter lambda sensor is fitted, so installation is possible without further adjustment or a fault message. HJS ECE and EOBD catalytic converters have a significantly higher washcoat content and very high oxygen storage capacity, which can prevent fault messages. The EOBD catalytic converters have been tested for this purpose up to Euro 4. Their durability and use are suitable up to Euro 6 emissions standard.

On Euro 5/6 vehicles, the above issues can only be avoided by selecting a catalytic converter with ECE approval.
