This Bull-X valved exhaust system for the Kia Ceed GT JD is hand-built and consists of absorption silencers without chambers. The pipe diameter is 3″ (76 mm).

Road use: ECE approval applies only when selecting the Bull-X Tronic control unit (with ECE approval) and in combination with the EG catalytic converter. Other control options and other catalytic-converter combinations are intended exclusively for track use.
Control with the ECE-approved Bull-X Tronic control unit
While driving, you can choose between Comfort and Sport modes. If the vehicle has drive-profile selection, the system can be controlled through it. Vehicles without drive-profile selection use the supplied switch. The switch’s LED indicates the valve status: when the light is off, the valve is open; when the light is on, the valve is closed.
The control unit automatically closes the valve in all areas required by the ECE approval conditions, regardless of the selected driving mode.
- Sport (Dynamic, Race): within the approved ECE operating range, the valve is always open while driving. When stationary, the valve is always closed.
- Comfort: the valve is always closed, but opens within the approved ECE operating range while driving from 75% throttle opening.
Version without ECE approval
With versions using exhaust-valve control via a switch, remote control or the Bull-X Tronic »Race« Can-Bus control unit, the valve can also be controlled through the vehicle’s drive-profile selection, if available. Vehicles without this feature use the supplied switch, whose LED indicates the valve status: when the light is off, the valve is open; when the light is on, the valve is closed.
The Bull-X Tronic control unit also allows the valve to be opened while stationary. During driving, the control unit regulates the exhaust valve according to the ECE approval conditions. The available modes are Sport (Dynamic, Race) and Comfort, in which the valve opens from 75% throttle opening.
The version without ECE approval is intended exclusively for track use.
