Bull-X 76 mm downpipe for Audi A4 B7 2.0 TFSI

This Bull-X downpipe can be fitted as a direct replacement for the standard downpipe. The available catalytic converters provide greater exhaust gas flow and reduced back pressure, helping to increase performance, lower exhaust gas temperatures and reduce the load on the turbocharger. This is further supported by the enlarged 76 mm pipe diameter up to the transition flange. Directly after the catalytic converter outlet, the original part is reduced to 55 mm, creating additional exhaust back pressure.

The downpipe is also suitable for vehicles with increased performance. Once fitted, it produces a change in exhaust sound, particularly when combined with a sports exhaust system.

Road use: The offered versions with a catalytic converter or decat pipe are not approved for use on public roads. Legal public-road use is permitted only with the EG/ECE-approved HJS catalytic converter; all other versions are intended exclusively for track use.

Catalytic converter information

When selecting a downpipe without a catalytic converter or with a 100/200-cell catalytic converter, the ECU may display a fault from the post-catalytic-converter lambda sensor. This does not affect driving operation, as the first lambda sensor responsible for engine management remains in place. The post-catalytic sensor is used only to monitor catalytic converter efficiency. The fault can be removed by adapting the software through a specialist engine management tuner.

Most vehicles up to Euro 3 emissions standard do not have a post-catalytic lambda sensor, allowing installation without further adjustment or a fault message.

HJS ECE and EOBD catalytic converters have a significantly higher washcoat content and very high oxygen storage capacity, which can prevent fault messages. The EOBD catalytic converters have been tested for this purpose up to Euro 4. Their durability and use are assured up to Euro 6 emissions standard. On Euro 5/6 vehicles, the points mentioned above can only be avoided by selecting an ECE-approved catalytic converter.
