Bull-X downpipe 3″ for Ford Focus RS Mk.3 350 PS

Would you like to increase the power of your turbocharged engine while also reducing the load on the turbocharger? Then this Bull-X product is an excellent starting point. The downpipe has a significant effect on response and power, as it forms the link between the turbocharger and the exhaust system. The larger the pipe diameter and the better the flow, the more easily the turbocharger can discharge the processed exhaust gases through the exhaust system. This has a positive effect on torque and power, while also reducing the thermal load on the turbocharger and surrounding components.

Road use: This product is intended for use on the racetrack. For legal use on public roads, only the HJS catalytic converter with EG approval is suitable; versions without a catalytic converter, with 100-cell or 200-cell sports catalytic converters, and with the Bull-X EOBD catalytic converter are intended exclusively for racing use.

Catalytic converter information

When selecting a downpipe without a catalytic converter or with a 100-cell or 200-cell catalytic converter, the ECU may display a fault from the post-catalytic-converter lambda sensor. This does not affect driving characteristics, as the first lambda sensor remains in place for engine management. The post-catalytic-converter sensor is only responsible for monitoring catalytic-converter efficiency. The fault can be removed by adjusting the software by a tuner.

Most vehicles up to the Euro 3 emissions standard do not have a post-catalytic-converter lambda sensor, so installation is possible without further adjustment or a fault message. HJS ECE and EOBD catalytic converters have a significantly higher active coating content and very high oxygen-storage capacity, which can prevent fault messages. The EOBD catalytic converters have been tested for this purpose up to Euro 4. Their service life and use are also suitable for vehicles up to the Euro 6 emissions standard. On Euro 5/6 vehicles, the issues described above can only be avoided by selecting an ECE-approved catalytic converter.
