Would you like to increase the output of your turbocharged engine while relieving the load on the turbocharger and protecting the surrounding components? Then this Bull-X product is an excellent place to start. The downpipe has a major influence on response and performance. It forms the link between the exhaust side of the turbocharger and the exhaust system. The larger the pipe diameter, the more easily the turbocharger can discharge the processed exhaust gases through the exhaust system. This has a positive effect on torque and power.

Road use: This product is intended for use on the race track. For legal use on public roads, only the version with the HJS catalytic converter approved under EG regulations is permitted; all other available catalytic converter versions and the decat pipe are intended exclusively for racing use.

Catalytic converter information

When selecting a downpipe without a catalytic converter or with a 100/200-cell catalytic converter, the engine control unit may register a fault from the post-catalytic-converter lambda sensor. This does not restrict driving, as the first lambda sensor required for engine management remains fitted. The post-catalytic sensor is only used to monitor catalytic converter efficiency. The fault can be removed by adapting the software through a specialist engine calibration provider.

Most vehicles up to Euro 3 emissions standard do not have a post-catalytic lambda sensor, so installation is possible without further adaptation or a fault message.

The Washcoat content of HJS ECE and EOBD catalytic converters is significantly higher. They provide a very high oxygen-storage capacity, which can help prevent fault messages. For this purpose, the EOBD catalytic converters have been tested up to Euro 4. Their durability and use are also suitable up to the Euro 6 emissions standard. On Euro 5/6 vehicles, the points mentioned above can only be avoided by selecting an ECE catalytic converter.
