Would you like to achieve more power from your turbocharged engine while also reducing the load on the turbocharger and surrounding components? Then this Bull-X product is an excellent place to start. The downpipe has a significant effect on response and performance. It forms the link between the turbocharger’s exhaust side and the exhaust system. The larger the pipe diameter, the more easily the turbocharger can discharge the processed exhaust gases through the exhaust system. This has a positive effect on torque and power.

Road use: This version is not permitted for use on public roads and is intended exclusively for motorsport. Of the offered catalytic converters and replacement pipes, only the HJS catalytic converter with EG approval is permitted for public-road use. All other versions are intended exclusively for motorsport.

Catalytic converter information

When selecting a downpipe without a catalytic converter or with a 100-cell or 200-cell catalytic converter, the engine control unit may display a fault from the post-catalyst lambda sensor. This does not affect driving, as the first lambda sensor remains installed and is used for engine management. The post-catalyst sensor is used only to monitor catalytic converter efficiency. The fault can be removed by having the software recalibrated by a tuner.

Most vehicles up to Euro 3 emissions standard do not have a post-catalyst lambda sensor, so installation is possible without further adjustment or a fault message.

The Washcoat content of HJS ECE and EOBD catalytic converters is considerably higher, giving them a very high oxygen-storage capacity and potentially preventing fault messages. For this aspect, the EOBD catalytic converters have been tested up to Euro 4. Their durability and use are suitable up to Euro 6 emissions standard. On Euro 5 and Euro 6 vehicles, the points mentioned above can only be avoided by selecting a catalytic converter with ECE approval.
