Road use: ECE approval applies only when selecting “Bull-X Tronic control unit (with ECE approval)”. In this configuration, the system is approved for road use without being entered in the vehicle documents.
While driving, you can choose between Comfort and Sport modes. If the vehicle has selectable driving profiles, the system can be controlled through this function. On vehicles without selectable driving profiles, control is provided by the supplied button. The button’s LED indicates the valve position: the valve is open when the light is off and closed when the light is on.
The control unit automatically closes the valve in all operating conditions required by the ECE regulations, regardless of the selected driving mode.
The Bull-X Tronic offers two control options:
- Sport (Dynamic, Race): the valve is controlled within the limits permitted by the ECE approval.
- Comfort: the valve remains closed at all times, but opens during driving within the ECE-approved operating range once the throttle is 75% or more open.

Approval
Only the version marked “road legal” has a European ECE / EC approval (Bull-X Tronic controller with ECE or the HJS EC catalytic converter). Versions marked “no ECE, track use only” have no approval and are not permitted for road use. If in doubt about the version, contact us and we will check for you.
