The CTS Turbo air intake system for the Volkswagen Golf V R32 uses the original air scoop in combination with a closed air chamber that efficiently directs cold air into the intake system. The air then flows through a high-flow conical performance filter with an inverted conical design for the best possible airflow into the engine.
High-quality silicone hoses precisely fit the original air flow meter (MAF) flange, allowing an unrestricted supply of cold air to the engine. The system provides an increase in peak power of 9–15 hp and improved torque throughout the rev range. It also produces a more pronounced, race-inspired engine sound.
