CTS Turbo presents an atmospheric BOV kit (blow-off valve) for BMW N20 engines. The kit is made from machined aluminium and can be fully serviced. It is designed to work with the factory electronics and does not trigger the engine warning light.
The valve replaces the factory plastic unit, which can fail due to torn diaphragms, cracked plastic and electrical faults. The piston design ensures a long service life, simple installation, full serviceability and a pronounced sound. The valve is slightly shorter than the original unit, so it also fits well in the tight engine bay of the N20 engine.
Installing the kit does not require removal of the factory turbocharger. Installation takes 60–120 minutes, depending on the installer’s speed and experience.
Note: If the vehicle has an electric wastegate, a charge pressure connection (boost tap) is required to install this BOV valve.
