The high-flow CTS Turbo stainless steel downpipe enables faster turbocharger response, improved boost response, higher boost pressure and a more pronounced sound. The downpipe is the first part of the modular exhaust system and is compatible with factory centre pipes and CTS Turbo centre pipes.
When used with suitable engine management software, the manufacturer states an increase of 27 whp and 40 ftlbs of torque. Exhaust gas flow was optimised using CAD simulations, while multiple development tests were conducted to ensure precise fitment, even flow and good compatibility with factory and CTS Turbo components.
The use of Bootmod3 software compatible with the downpipe is strongly recommended. If suitable software calibration is not used, the engine warning light will come on. Stage 2 software is required to prevent the warning light.
