The CTS Turbo downpipe for MQB front-wheel-drive vehicles is made from stainless steel and designed to improve exhaust gas flow. It is suitable for the VW Golf 1.8 TSI, Golf GTI 2.0 TSI, Jetta GLI, VW Beetle 1.8 TSI, Audi TT III with front-wheel drive and Audi A3 8V 1.8 TSI with front-wheel drive. It is not suitable for quattro variants.
The factory downpipe can restrict exhaust gas flow, especially on vehicles with additional software. The CTS Turbo downpipe uses a CNC-machined flange at the turbocharger outlet, smooth-transition pipework and a modular design that allows easier catalytic converter installation.

Suitable software is required to prevent the check engine light (CEL). Stage 2 software is required to prevent the check engine light. Using an additional CEL eliminator can significantly reduce the possibility of a catalyst-efficiency fault, but does not eliminate it completely.
For a more natural engine sound, it is recommended to switch off the Soundaktor or sound amplifier, as it can cause additional droning.
