The CTS Turbo TT180 FMIC kit for the first-generation Audi TT with the 1.8T engine is suitable for front-wheel-drive (FWD) and Quattro vehicles, whether standard or modified. Compared with the factory setup and competing solutions, it provides significantly more efficient cooling.
Improved cooling is provided by the high-density intercooler core and cast aluminium end tanks. All pipes feature a bead-rolled edge, reducing the risk of boost hoses coming off or leaking. The kit also includes stainless steel piping, 4-ply silicone couplers and stainless steel T-bolt clamps.
The intercooler has a pressure-tested core, cast aluminium end tanks and is designed for up to 450 hp at the crankshaft. Core dimensions are 25.25″ × 8″ × 3″, while the total dimension from one end tank to the other is 35.5″.
The kit can be installed without modifying the factory bumper reinforcement; only a very minor adjustment to the rear section of the bumper cover is required.
