The CTS Turbo direct-fit FMIC kit for BMW vehicles with the N54/N55 3.0L engine is suitable for standard and modified vehicles. The kit is now available in an updated black finish.
Compared with the factory solution and competing products, it provides significantly more effective cooling. This is achieved by the intercooler’s high-density bar-and-plate core and cast aluminium end tanks with high flow capacity.
The end tanks are enlarged, reducing the risk of the charge pipes coming off or leaking. The kit also uses 4-ply silicone couplers and stainless steel T-clamps.
The core dimensions are 20″ × 7″ × 6″, making it one of the largest direct-fit intercoolers on the market. According to the manufacturer, larger cores do not provide better results and do not fit correctly in the bumper.
On some models, a minor modification to the intercooler plastic guide may be required. The bumper trim does not need to be cut, and the modification does not affect its strength or appearance.
The kit is suitable for left- and right-hand-drive vehicles, as well as versions with rear-wheel drive or xDrive all-wheel drive. The core supports up to 550 whp.
