CTS Turbo IS38 is a replacement turbocharger for vehicles on the MQB platform with the EA888.3 engine.
It is fitted to MQB vehicles from 2015–2020 as a direct replacement for the IS38 turbocharger or as an upgrade for IS12 and IS20 turbochargers.
When upgrading from a smaller turbocharger, suitable engine tuning software must be used – check compatibility with the software provider. All software for IS38 is compatible.
CTS Turbo downpipe and CTS Turbo intercooler are recommended for the upgrade.

Fits all MQB vehicles with the EA888.3 engine; vehicles with an IS12 or IS20 turbocharger require software adaptation. Compatibility may vary for models intended for other markets.
Installation is carried out as a direct replacement for the factory turbocharger using the original seals and fastening hardware. The diverter valve or BOV and the wastegate actuator must be transferred from the existing turbocharger; they are not included.

Important: Always follow the correct procedure for checking and adjusting the wastegate actuator during installation. Change the engine oil and fill the turbocharger with oil before starting the engine. Professional installation is recommended.
