The CTS Turbo K04-X hybrid turbocharger is designed for transverse 2.0T FSI/TSI engines. With suitable software and supporting modifications, it can deliver up to 400 hp.
The compressor housing is designed for a larger billet compressor wheel, while the turbine housing is designed for a machined K04 turbine wheel. Unlike solutions where a larger CHRA is fitted into a small factory housing, the K04-X has purpose-designed compressor and turbine housings.
The high-quality castings are CNC-machined as a direct replacement for the factory turbocharger. No additional parts are required for installation apart from the supporting modifications listed below.
Due to the performance-oriented nature of the K04-X turbocharger, use with the factory exhaust system and factory intercooler is not recommended.

EA113 engines are 2.0T FSI engines with a timing belt. EA888.1 engines are 2.0T TSI engines with a timing chain. For the EA888.2 2.0T TSI engine with a timing chain and valve lift system, a PCV adapter is required for the listed variants.
