CTS Turbo presents the K04-X hybrid turbocharger upgrade for longitudinally mounted 2.0T FSI/TSI engines.
The compressor housing is designed for a larger compressor wheel made from machined aluminium forging, while the exhaust housing is adapted for the machined K04 turbine wheel. Unlike solutions where a larger CHRA is installed in a smaller factory housing, the K04-X is designed as a complete system with appropriately sized housings.
High-quality castings are CNC-machined for replacement of the factory turbocharger. No additional parts are required for installation, apart from supporting modifications.
Due to the performance-oriented nature of this upgrade, supporting modifications are required. Use with the factory exhaust system and factory intercooler is not recommended.
With the appropriate software calibration and supporting modifications, the turbocharger supports up to 400 hp according to the manufacturer.
