With high-power engines, the loads can be sufficient to twist the input shaft and move it towards the clutch, which can damage the gearbox casing.
This brace is designed to prevent such movement. It is bolted to the bellhousing of the 02A/02J gearbox and is an affordable upgrade for any vehicle with this gearbox.
It is suitable for all vehicles with an 02A or 02J gearbox.
Note: Due to differences in the castings, the gearbox casing may need minor modification by removing material. When tightening the fasteners, follow the factory-specified torque: 18 ft/lbs + 1/4 turn.
