The CTS Turbo resonator delete kit is designed for the F97 BMW X3M and F98 BMW X4M, adding a more aggressive and pronounced exhaust note compared with the standard system. The sound is fuller, smoother and more assertive, making it an excellent match for the high-performance S58 engine.
The kit removes the factory hydroformed resonated section and replaces it with 70 mm T304 stainless steel pipes. To reduce flow restriction, a carefully engineered X-pipe made from mandrel-bent tubing is installed in place of the standard resonator. The X-pipe stands out both in appearance and in its effect on the exhaust note.
The advanced X-shaped design differs from the more common stamped X-pipes on the market. Exhaust gas flow is smoother, promoting balanced flow to both exhaust tip assemblies. This eliminates unwanted sound irregularities caused by uneven flow, which often occur with standard systems, resulting in a more refined and pleasant exhaust note.
