This EGO-X exhaust system for the VW Golf 7 R pre-facelift is hand-built using TIG welding. The pipe diameter is 3.5 inches (89 mm). It delivers an absolutely maximal sound experience. It does not get any more intense than this!
A unique feature of this EGO-X system is its operation with the valve closed. With the valve closed, there is no droning or even the slightest hint of unpleasant frequencies inside the vehicle (Comfort mode).

Road use: ECE approval applies only to the version with the Bull-X Tronic control unit and an EG-approved catalytic converter. This combination is intended for use on public roads. All other control options and/or catalytic converters are intended exclusively for track use.
During driving, you can choose between Comfort and Sport modes. If the vehicle has drive-profile selection, the system can be controlled through it. On vehicles without drive-profile selection, it can be controlled using the supplied button. Its LED indicates the valve status: the valve is open when the light is off and closed when the light is on.
The Bull-X Tronic control unit automatically closes the valve in all areas required by the ECE regulations, regardless of the selected mode.
Bull-X Tronic operating modes:
- Sport (Dynamic, Race): within the limits permitted by the ECE approval, the valve is always open while driving. When stationary, the valve is always closed.
- Comfort: the valve is always closed, but opens while driving within the limits permitted by the ECE approval when the throttle is 75% open.
Suitable for: VW Golf VII (5G1).

Only the version marked “road legal” has a European ECE / EC approval (Bull-X Tronic controller with ECE or the HJS EC catalytic converter).
