EGO-X 3.5″ exhaust system for Audi S3 8V quattro 300/310 PS (ECE)

This EGO-X exhaust system for the Audi S3 8V is hand-built using TIG welding and features absorption silencers without chambers. The pipe diameter is 3.5″ (89 mm).

With the Bull-X Tronic control unit, Comfort and Sport modes can be selected. If the vehicle has drive profile selection, the system can be controlled through this function. For vehicles without drive profile selection, the valve is controlled using the supplied button. The button’s LED indicates the valve status: the light is off when the valve is open and illuminated when it is closed.

In Sport mode (Dynamic, Race), the valve remains open while driving within the conditions specified by the ECE approval and is closed when stationary. In Comfort mode, the valve remains closed and opens while driving within the permitted ECE operating range once the throttle is at least 75% open. The control unit automatically closes the valve in all areas where this is required for the ECE version.

Road use: ECE approval applies only to the combination of the Bull-X Tronic control unit with ECE approval and the EG catalytic converter. Other control and/or catalytic converter versions are intended exclusively for track use.

Approval

Only the version marked “road legal” has a European ECE / EC approval (Bull-X Tronic controller with ECE or the HJS EC catalytic converter).
