EGO-X 3.5″ exhaust system for Audi TT 8S quattro 230 PS

This EGO-X exhaust system for the Audi TT 8S quattro (from 07/2014) is hand-finished using TIG welding and features absorption silencers without chambers. The pipe diameter is 3.5 inches (89 mm).

Road use: ECE approval applies only to the version with the Bull-X Tronic control unit with ECE approval. Legal use on public roads requires the combination of ECE-approved Bull-X Tronic control and an EG-approved catalytic converter. All other control and/or catalytic converter configurations are intended solely for track use.

Exhaust valve control with ECE approval

During driving, you can choose between Comfort and Sport modes. If the vehicle has drive profile selection, this can also be used for control. On vehicles without drive profile selection, the valve is operated using the supplied button. Its LED indicates the valve status: the valve is open when the light is off and closed when the light is on.

The control unit automatically closes the valve in all areas required by the ECE approval, regardless of the selected driving mode.

• Sport (Dynamic, Race): within the permitted ECE operating range, the valve is always open; when stationary, it is always closed.
• Comfort: the valve is always closed, but opens while driving within the permitted ECE operating range once the throttle is 75% open.

Versions without ECE approval

When the valve is controlled by a switch, remote control or Bull-X Tronic »Race« Can-Bus control unit, the product is intended solely for track use. If the vehicle has drive profile selection, this can also be used for control; on other vehicles, the valve is operated using the supplied button. If the Bull-X Tronic control unit is purchased separately, the valve can still be opened when stationary, while during driving the unit controls it in accordance with ECE requirements.
