EGO-X exhaust system for the Cupra Formentor OPF

Maximum sound, high-quality workmanship and a perfect fit. The EGO-X exhaust system for the Cupra Formentor OPF was developed to unlock the vehicle’s full acoustic potential. Its large 3.5″ (89 mm) pipe diameter and flow-optimised design produce a powerful, sporty sound without compromise. The system is manufactured using precise TIG welding and fitted with hand-crafted absorption silencers.

Valve system

This EGO-X exhaust system is equipped with an electronically controlled exhaust valve. The sound level is adjusted according to the selected driving mode, making the system comfortable for everyday use while delivering an uncompromising sound with the valve open. It provides an ideal balance between driveability and performance.

Road use: ECE approval applies only when the system is combined with the Bull-X Tronic control unit with ECE approval and an approved EG catalytic converter. In this configuration, the control unit regulates the valve in accordance with ECE requirements; in Sport mode (Dynamic, Race), the valve remains open within the approved operating range while driving and closed when stationary and at 20–80 km/h. In Comfort mode, it remains closed and opens within the approved operating range when the throttle is 75% open. Versions controlled via a switch, remote control or the Bull-X Tronic “Race” CAN-bus control unit, as well as combinations with other catalytic converters, are intended exclusively for track use.

Approval

Only the version marked “road legal” has a European ECE / EC approval (Bull-X Tronic controller with ECE or the HJS EC catalytic converter). Versions marked “no ECE, track use only” have no approval and are not permitted for road use. If in doubt about the version, contact us and we will check for you.

This exhaust system requires exhaust tips, which are not included in the price. Choose them from the Bull-X tips in our shop and add them to your basket; if unsure which fit, contact us.
