EGO-X 3.5″ exhaust system for Mercedes C43 AMG 390 PS with OPF (ECE)

This EGO-X exhaust system for the Mercedes-Benz C43 AMG 390 PS with OPF is hand-finished using TIG welding. The pipe diameter is 3.5 inches (89 mm), delivering the sound the C43 AMG deserves. This version is suitable exclusively for vehicles with the standard exhaust system and no factory valve control.

Note: Not suitable for vehicles with the factory AMG Performance exhaust system or a factory-fitted exhaust valve.

The OEM front silencer has deliberately been retained for two reasons:

1. It allows easier installation using a plug-in connection and a clamp, without additional welding.
2. Development testing showed that the body of the OEM centre silencer contains no sound-deadening material. A replacement pipe would therefore not alter the sound, while removing this silencer would adversely affect the transmission of the sound into the cabin.

Road use: ECE approval applies only when the Bull-X Tronic control unit with ECE approval is selected and the system is used with an EG catalytic converter. In this configuration, the system is suitable for public-road use. Versions with other control methods and/or other catalytic converters are intended exclusively for racing use.

With the ECE version, the Bull-X Tronic control unit automatically closes the valve in all areas required by the ECE approval. In Sport (Dynamic, Race) mode, the valve remains open while driving within the approved range and is always closed when stationary. In Comfort mode, the valve remains closed and opens while driving within the approved range from 75% throttle opening. If the vehicle has selectable driving profiles, the valve can be controlled through them; vehicles without this function use the supplied button. Its LED indicates the valve status: light off means open and light on means closed.

With the non-ECE versions, the valve can be controlled by a switch, remote control or Bull-X Tronic »Race« CAN-bus control unit. These versions are intended exclusively for racing use.
