EGO-X 3.5″ exhaust system with ECE for VW Golf 7 R facelift OPF

The EGO-X exhaust system for the VW Golf 7.5 R facelift with OPF is hand-built using TIG welding and features absorption silencers without chambers. The pipe diameter is 3.5 inches (89 mm).

Road use: ECE approval applies only when the Bull-X Tronic control unit with ECE approval is selected and the system is used with an EG catalytic converter. This configuration is approved for use on public roads. Versions with other control methods or catalytic converters are intended for track use only.

With the ECE version, Comfort and Sport modes can be selected while driving. If the vehicle has drive-profile selection, the valve can be controlled through this function. Vehicles without drive-profile selection use the supplied button. Its LED indicates the valve status: the valve is open when the light is off and closed when the light is on. The control unit automatically closes the valve in all areas required for ECE approval, regardless of the selected driving mode.

Bull-X Tronic valve control

• Sport (Dynamic, Race): within the approved ECE operating range, the valve is always open; when stationary and between 20 and 80 km/h, it is always closed.
• Comfort: the valve is always closed, but opens during driving within the approved ECE operating range when the throttle is at least 75% open.

For versions without ECE approval, the valve can be operated using a switch, remote control or the Bull-X Tronic “Race” Can-Bus control unit. If the vehicle has drive-profile selection, this function can also be used; other vehicles use the supplied button. These versions are intended for track use only.

Approval

Only the version marked “road legal” has a European ECE / EC approval (Bull-X Tronic controller with ECE or the HJS EC catalytic converter). Versions marked “no ECE, track use only” have no approval and are not permitted for road use. If in doubt about the version, contact us and we will check for you.

Exhaust tips

This exhaust system requires exhaust tips, which are not included in the price. Choose them from the Bull-X tips in our shop and add them to your basket; if unsure which fit, contact us.
