EGO-X 3.5″ exhaust system with valve for Cupra Leon KL Sportstourer 245 PS

This EGO-X exhaust system for the Cupra Leon KL Sportstourer 245 PS is hand-built using TIG welding and features absorption silencers. The pipe diameter is 3.5 inches (89 mm). Its straight-through design delivers an intense sound with the valve open. With the valve closed, the system is extremely quiet; during relaxed motorway driving, it is quieter inside the cabin than the standard system.

During driving, you can choose between Comfort and Sport modes. If the vehicle has selectable driving profiles, the valve can be controlled through this function. On vehicles without selectable driving profiles, it can be controlled using the supplied button. The button’s LED indicates the valve status: the light is off when the valve is open and on when it is closed.

The Bull-X Tronic control unit provides two control options:

• Sport (Dynamic, Race): within the ECE approval requirements, the valve remains open while driving; when stationary and between 20–80 km/h, it remains closed.
• Comfort: the valve remains closed, but opens during driving within the ECE approval requirements when the throttle is opened to 75% or more.

Road use: ECE approval applies only to the version with the Bull-X Tronic control unit with ECE approval and an EG catalytic converter. This combination is intended for use on public roads. Other control options and/or catalytic converters are intended for track use only.

Suitable for: Cupra Leon IV (KL1).

Approval

Only the version marked “road legal” has a European ECE / EC approval (Bull-X Tronic controller with ECE or the HJS EC catalytic converter). Versions marked “no ECE, track use only” have no approval and are not permitted for road use. If in doubt about the version, contact us and we will check for you.
