EGO-X 3″ exhaust system for Audi TTS 8J quattro 265/272 PS with ECE

This EGO-X exhaust system for Audi TTS 8J models is hand-built using TIG welding and features absorption silencers without chambers. The pipe diameter is 3 inches (76 mm).

Exhaust valve control

If the vehicle has drive profile selection, the valve can also be controlled through this function. For vehicles without drive profile selection, control is provided by the supplied button. The button’s LED indicates the valve status: the valve is open when the light is off and closed when the light is on.

The Bull-X Tronic control unit provides two operating modes:

• Sport (Dynamic, Race): within the limits of the ECE approval, the valve remains open while driving and is always closed when stationary.
• Comfort: the valve remains closed, but opens while driving within the limits of the ECE approval from 75% throttle opening.

Road use: ECE approval applies only when the Bull-X Tronic control unit (with ECE approval) and an EG catalytic converter are selected. In this combination, the system is approved for public-road use without being entered in the vehicle documents. Versions with other control methods and/or other catalytic converters are intended exclusively for track use.

Suitable for: Audi Tts I (8N).

Approval

Only the version marked “road legal” has a European ECE / EC approval (Bull-X Tronic controller with ECE or the HJS EC catalytic converter). Versions marked “no ECE, track use only” have no approval and are not permitted for road use. If in doubt about the version, contact us and we will check for you.
