Valve control
If the vehicle has drive profile selection, the valve can also be controlled through this function. On vehicles without drive profile selection, control is possible using the supplied button. The button’s LED indicates the valve status: when the light is off, the valve is open; when the light is on, the valve is closed.
The Bull-X Tronic controller generally offers two control modes:
- Sport (Dynamic, Race): within the requirements of the ECE approval, the valve is always open while driving and always closed when stationary.
- Comfort: the valve is always closed, but opens while driving within the requirements of the ECE approval once the throttle is at least 75% open.
For versions without ECE approval, control is available via a switch, remote control or the Bull-X Tronic “Race” CAN-bus controller. If the Bull-X Tronic controller is fitted, the valve can still be opened when stationary, while during driving the controller regulates it in accordance with ECE requirements.
Road use: ECE approval applies only to the version with the Bull-X Tronic controller (with ECE approval) and an EG catalytic converter. Other control and catalytic-converter configurations are intended exclusively for track use.
