EGO-X 3″ exhaust system for Ford Focus RS Mk.3 350 PS with ECE

This EGO-X valved exhaust system for the Ford Focus Mk.3 RS is hand-built using TIG welding and features absorption silencers without chambers. The pipe diameter is 3 inches (76 mm). The distinctive design is not only visually striking, but also engineered with the sound in mind. With the valve closed, the system is exceptionally quiet, considerably quieter than the standard system, and completely eliminates disturbing frequencies from the cabin. With the valve open, the EGO-X produces a pronounced motorsport-style sound.

Road use: ECE approval applies only to the version with the Bull-X Tronic control unit with ECE approval and an EG catalytic converter. In this configuration, the control unit automatically regulates the valve in the operating ranges required for approval. Other control options and combinations without ECE approval are intended exclusively for track use.

If the vehicle has selectable driving profiles, the valve can be controlled through the selected profile. For vehicles without selectable driving profiles, the supplied button can be used. Its LED indicates the valve status: the light is off when the valve is open and on when it is closed.

The Bull-X Tronic control unit generally provides two control modes:

• Sport (Dynamic, Race): the valve remains open within the ECE-approved operating range. When stationary and at speeds of 20–80 km/h, the valve remains closed.
• Comfort: the valve remains closed, but opens during driving within the approved operating range when the throttle is opened to 75% or more.

Suitable for: Ford Focus III (DYB).

Only the version marked “road legal” has a European ECE / EC approval (Bull-X Tronic controller with ECE or the HJS EC catalytic converter).
