EGO-X 3″ exhaust system for Seat Leon 5F ST Cupra 300 and Škoda Octavia 5E RS 245

This EGO-X exhaust system for the Seat Leon Cupra ST 300 and Škoda Octavia RS 245 is hand-built using TIG welding and consists of absorption silencers without chambers. The pipe diameter is 3 inches (76 mm).

Operation with ECE approval

ECE approval applies only when selecting Bull-X Tronic control unit (with ECE approval). This version may be used on public roads without being entered in the vehicle documents. While driving, you can choose between Comfort and Sport modes. If the vehicle has selectable driving profiles, the valve can be controlled through this function. Vehicles without selectable driving profiles use the supplied button. The button’s LED indicates the valve status: the valve is open when the light is off and closed when the light is on.

The Bull-X Tronic control unit automatically closes the valve in all areas required for compliance with the ECE approval, regardless of the selected driving mode.

• Sport (Dynamic, Race): within the scope of the ECE approval, the valve remains open while driving. When stationary and at speeds of 20–80 km/h, the valve remains closed.
• Comfort: the valve remains closed, but opens while driving within the scope of the ECE approval from 75% throttle opening.

Versions without ECE approval

ECE approval does not apply to the options exhaust valve control via switch, exhaust valve control via remote control and Bull-X Tronic “Race” Can-Bus control unit. If the vehicle has selectable driving profiles, the valve can also be controlled via the Sport mode. Vehicles without this function use the supplied button with LED status indication. Sport (Dynamic, Race) and Comfort mode, in which the valve opens from 75% throttle opening, are available depending on the selected control system.

Road use: Only the combination of the Bull-X Tronic control unit with ECE approval and the EG catalytic converter is suitable for use on public roads. Versions with other control units and/or catalytic converters are intended exclusively for track use.

Suitable for: SEAT Leon III (5F1), Škoda Octavia III (5E3) / III (5E5/5E6).

Approval

Only the version marked “road legal” has a European ECE / EC approval (Bull-X Tronic controller with ECE or the HJS EC catalytic converter).
