EGO-X 3″ exhaust system for Škoda Octavia 1Z, VW Jetta Mk5/6 2.0 TFSI 200 PS

This EGO-X exhaust system for the Škoda Octavia 1Z and VW Jetta Mk5 (1KM) is hand-built using TIG welding and features absorption silencers without chambers. The pipe diameter is 3″ (76 mm).

Road use

ECE approval applies only when selecting the Bull-X Tronic control unit (with ECE approval). In combination with the ECE Bull-X Tronic controller and an EG-approved catalytic converter, the system is approved for use on public roads. All other controllers and/or catalytic converters are intended for track use only.

Operation of the ECE version

• Sport (Dynamic, Race): the valve is always open while driving within the limits of the ECE regulations, and always closed when stationary.
• Comfort: the valve remains closed, but opens while driving within the limits of the ECE regulations once the throttle is 75% open.

If the vehicle has selectable driving profiles, the system can be controlled through this function. For vehicles without selectable driving profiles, a supplied button is used. Its LED indicates the valve position: the valve is open when the light is off and closed when the light is on.

Versions without ECE approval

Versions controlled via a switch, remote control or the Bull-X Tronic “Race” Can-Bus control unit do not have ECE approval and are intended for track use only. If the vehicle has selectable driving profiles, the valve can also be controlled through this function. For vehicles without selectable driving profiles, a button with an LED status indicator is supplied.
