EGO-X 3″ exhaust system for Subaru WRX STI 2.5 300 PS with ECE

This EGO-X exhaust system for the Subaru WRX STI is hand-fabricated using TIG welding and consists of absorption silencers without chambers. The pipe diameter is 3 inches (76 mm).

ECE-approved configuration:

ECE approval applies only when selecting Bull-X Tronic control unit (with ECE type approval). In this configuration, the exhaust system may be used on public roads without being entered in the vehicle documents. The control unit automatically closes the valve in all operating areas required by the ECE approval.

Two control modes are available:

• Sport (Dynamic, Race): within the ECE-approved operating range, the valve is always open while driving and always closed when stationary.
• Comfort: the valve is always closed, but opens while driving within the ECE-approved operating range once the throttle is 75% open.

If the vehicle has drive mode selection, the system can be controlled through it. Vehicles without drive mode selection use the supplied switch. Its LED indicates the valve position: the valve is open when the light is off and closed when the light is on.

Configurations without ECE approval:

Configurations with exhaust valve control via a switch, remote control or the Bull-X Tronic Race CAN-Bus control unit are not intended for use on public roads.

Road use: Road use is permitted only with the Bull-X Tronic configuration with ECE type approval and an EC-approved catalytic converter. All other combinations of control systems and/or catalytic converters are intended solely for track use.

Approval

Only the version marked “road legal” has a European ECE / EC approval (Bull-X Tronic controller with ECE or the HJS EC catalytic converter).
