EGO-X 3″ exhaust system for VW Beetle 5C Coupé 2.0 TSI with ECE

This EGO-X exhaust system for the VW Beetle 2.0 TSI is hand-fabricated using TIG welding and features absorption silencers without chambers. The pipe diameter is 3 inches (76 mm).

Exhaust valve control

For vehicles equipped with drive profile selection, the valve can also be controlled through this function. For vehicles without drive profile selection, control is provided by the supplied switch. The switch LED indicates the valve status: the light is off when the valve is open and on when it is closed.

ECE version: ECE approval applies only when selecting the Bull-X Tronic control unit (with ECE approval). The control unit automatically closes the valve in all operating ranges required by the ECE approval, regardless of the selected driving mode.

• Sport (Dynamic, Race): within the scope of the ECE approval, the valve is always open while driving and always closed when stationary.
• Comfort: the valve remains closed, but opens while driving within the scope of the ECE approval when the throttle is at least 75% open.

Versions without ECE approval: this applies to exhaust valve control via switch, via remote control and to the Bull-X Tronic »Race« Can-Bus control unit. Control is possible through the drive profile selection or the supplied switch. Sport (Dynamic, Race) mode allows the valve to open, while in Comfort mode it opens at 75% throttle opening.

Road use: Legal use on public roads requires the version with the Bull-X Tronic control unit with ECE approval and an EG-approved catalytic converter. All other control units and/or catalytic converters are intended solely for track use.
