This EGO-X exhaust system for the VW Scirocco R is hand-fabricated using TIG welding (MAG welding available as an option) and uses absorption silencers without chambers. The pipe diameter is 3 inches (76 mm).

Valve control operation
With the ECE version, you can choose between Comfort and Sport modes while driving. If the vehicle has drive profile selection, the valve can be controlled through it. For vehicles without drive profile selection, a supplied button is used. Its LED indicates the valve status: the light is off when the valve is open and on when it is closed.
The control unit automatically closes the valve in all areas required by the ECE approval, regardless of the selected mode.
- Sport (Dynamic, Race): the valve remains open within the permitted ECE range and is always closed when stationary.
- Comfort: the valve remains closed and opens while driving within the permitted ECE range from 75% throttle opening.
With versions without ECE approval, the valve can be controlled via the drive profile selection or the supplied button. If the Bull-X Tronic control unit has been purchased, the valve can still be opened when stationary, while during driving the control unit regulates it in accordance with ECE requirements.
Road use: ECE approval applies only to the combination with the Bull-X Tronic control unit with ECE approval and an EG catalytic converter. Other control units and/or catalytic converters are intended exclusively for track use.

Only the version marked “road legal” has a European ECE / EC approval (Bull-X Tronic controller with ECE or the HJS EC catalytic converter).
