EGO-X 3″ R32 Look ECE exhaust system for VW Scirocco R (13)

This EGO-X exhaust system for the VW Scirocco R in »R32 Look« specification is hand-built using TIG welding. It consists of absorption silencers without chambers. The pipe diameter is 3″ (76 mm).

Valve operation

If the vehicle has selectable driving profiles, the valve can be controlled through this function. On vehicles without selectable driving profiles, control is provided by the supplied button. The button’s LED indicates the valve status: when the light is off, the valve is open; when it is on, the valve is closed.

The Bull-X Tronic control unit offers two operating modes:

• Sport (Dynamic, Race): within the permitted ECE operating range, the valve is always open; when stationary, it is always closed.
• Comfort: the valve is always closed, but opens while driving within the permitted ECE operating range from 75% throttle opening.

Road use: ECE approval applies only when the Bull-X Tronic control unit with ECE approval is selected. Legal use on public roads requires the ECE Bull-X Tronic control unit and an EG-approved catalytic converter. Versions with the Bull-X Tronic »Race« control unit, switch or remote-control operation, and other combinations without the relevant approval are intended for track use only.

Approval

Only the version marked “road legal” has a European ECE / EC approval (Bull-X Tronic controller with ECE or the HJS EC catalytic converter).
