EGO-X 3″ valved exhaust system for Ford Focus ST Mk3 250 PS, ECE

This EGO-X / Bull-X Valved exhaust system for the Ford Focus Mk3 ST is hand-built using TIG/MIG welding and features absorption silencers without chambers. The pipe diameter is 3″ (76 mm).

Exhaust valve control

With the ECE version, the Bull-X Tronic control unit allows Comfort or Sport mode to be selected. If the vehicle has selectable driving profiles, the system can be controlled through this function. On vehicles without selectable driving profiles, control is provided by the supplied button. The button’s LED indicates the valve position: the light is off when the valve is open and on when it is closed.

• Sport (Dynamic, Race): the valve remains open while driving within the limits of the ECE regulations and is always closed when stationary.
• Comfort: the valve remains closed but opens while driving within the limits of the ECE regulations from 75% throttle opening.

On versions without ECE approval, the valve can be controlled via the sport button, the supplied switch or a remote control. If the Bull-X Tronic control unit has also been purchased, the valve can still be opened while stationary, although the control unit regulates the exhaust valve according to ECE logic when driving.

Road use: Only the version with the Bull-X Tronic control unit with ECE approval and an EC-approved catalytic converter is approved for use on public roads. Versions with other control methods and/or other catalytic converters are intended exclusively for track use.

Suitable for: Ford Focus III (DYB).

Only the version marked “road legal” has a European ECE / EC approval (Bull-X Tronic controller with ECE or the HJS EC catalytic converter).
